Swim
Comments: Water was a bit murky but pleasant. The swim was straight forward. I had some form problems when I colided with a few people but overall I just swam a decent race. The run to T1 is very long (200m?) - I got out of the water at 15:30 and it took me 1.5min to get to T1... What would you do differently?: Draft a better swimmer Transition 1
Comments: Very slow T1... I forgot my regualar towel and my feet were caked in mud. Took way too long to put shoes on. Bike
Comments: I rode a good race in aero position most of the time.. My bike computer said I rode 27.9km - its usually VERY accurate. I think MultiSport Canada undermeasured the course. What would you do differently?: nothing Transition 2
Run
Comments: I really suffered the first 2km but fought through it and was able to maintain a sub 6km/min pace until the 4km mark - then the trail get paved / gravel and my legs recovered enough that I was able to pick up the pace. What would you do differently?: train running BRICs more Post race
Event comments: There was some confusiuon on the bike course due to the "Ride for Cancer" riding part of the same route. Last updated: 2010-06-15 12:00 AM

Rainy morninig so I let the wife and kids sleep in and I took off on my own. A Tim Horton's breakfast.
I got to the race much earlier than usual so I secured a great bike rack spot and had time to relax, use the facilities, put on wetsuit and swim about 100m
Swam about 100m... had a nice chat with a lady while treading water... just chilled
