Swim
Comments: This was a pretty good ows for me. I need to work on speed and distance. It's not good enough to just be able to swim the distance. Came out tired and dizzy. What would you do differently?: Train more. Transition 1
Comments: Bad transition. Felt dizzy. Had to sit down to get my socks on and had gravel on the first foot. Lots of loose gravel in transition. What would you do differently?: Don't know. Gave up too much time, but needed to get my bearings here. Bike
Comments: I rode well, but there was a lot of slower traffic around the course. Had to sit up several times because I couldn't pass. Traded places with one guy for most of the course. This helped motivation to keep the speed high. What would you do differently?: Ride more. That's it. I had a good time on this course, but only had so much in the tank. Transition 2
Comments: Anytime I can go sub 1:00 in transition, I'm happy. I was at the far end and had to run about 100 yards to just get out on the run. This was a good transition. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Run
Comments: I have not really run well this year. I need to lose some weight (which didn't happen this year). I also need to run more. Very inconsistent this season. Maybe next year. What would you do differently?: Gave it what I could. Post race
Warm down: Walked around and got some water. Then spent time playing with my daughter at the playground. What limited your ability to perform faster: Training time and weight. I need to lose about 10-12 lbs to be in top form. Event comments: This was a nice race with good support. Lots of fast people. The winner biked at 27 mph. Amazing. When you are hemoraging time on the run, there is really little you can do in a sprint race. Even at my best, I can't run a sub 7 mile, and many people did. I would probably do this race again if I was looking for a late season race. Liked the venue a lot and will look for other races here in the future. Last updated: 2010-06-23 12:00 AM

Got up early, drove to longmont and found a good transition spot right near the bike out. After that, just relaxed and waited for the race.
None. There was a lot going on, and I just wanted to keep my focus to start off strong on the swim. Did about 100 easy to get used to the water.
