Comments: Every split was faster. What would you do differently?: Seed myself in the next pace group up. Post race
Warm down: Walked around as well as I could for about a mile. Ice bath when I came home & hot shower. Some stretching. What limited your ability to perform faster: I need to build up my speed more. Also not knowing if I would break down in that last 10k, I was afraid to push very much in the first half. Event comments: The website is uninformative. I could not find out what they were serving at the aid stations until 4 days before the event. During the race it is hard to see an aid station until you are on it - so I couldn't get my GU down first (Next time I would memorize at what miles they were). It is very crowded and LOTS of people walk every hill. A good event, especially for a first - but not one to go for a personal best on. Last updated: 2010-06-24 12:00 AM
