  • Comments: They started tearing down tents at the finish line when the gun clock said 6:30, but it took at least 40 minutes for the last group to get to the start. Thus, for the slowest group that probably needed the full 6:30, most of the finish line stuff was gone before they finished. Also, running around the big lake was pretty painful!

  • Comments: The bigest point of this race, however, was to run it with Team In Training as a corporate team with four other ladies from my office, and make sure they all got across the finish line (this was the longest, most extreme sports endeavor they'd ever done), and I'm proud to say that they all made it so that was awesome!!! The race course is beautiful and the support is awesome and I would like to go back some day and REALLY train and maybe do the full race. With those hills, it's a beast of an event though--definitely would have to be prepared.

  • Comments: This race has so much potential but I was very disappointed. Although they had a nice finisher shirt and Tiffany necklace, the event website, overall communication, and organization of this race was terrible! It seems like Nike needs a new race director with better management skills.

  • Comments: Good race, nice course. Would prefer the half and marathon didn't start at the same time as it was extremely congested at the beginning of the race. The Tiffany necklace is awesome!

  • Comments: The website is uninformative. I could not find out what they were serving at the aid stations until 4 days before the event. During the race it is hard to see an aid station until you are on it - so I couldn't get my GU down first (Next time I would memorize at what miles they were). It is very crowded and LOTS of people walk every hill. A good event, especially for a first - but not one to go for a personal best on.

  • Comments: Friend that got into this race with me bailed the day before we were to leave. I had a great time though! Course was beautiful but wow talk about hills!! Bummer was when I finished and received the same exact Tiffany Necklace that the Half Marathon people got!!! It doesnt say like 26.2 on the back nothing!!!

  • Comments: **Since this was a NIKE sponsored race no other vendors were there. So if you do the race be prepared for that - NIKE TOWN is right there, but it is very crowded - long lines. there was NO GU/gels on the course. thankfully I had my own. they did have luna moons which were very good. The aid stations were VERY well organized and on top of it...Water first, then Gatorade. Beautiful course and it is pretty well run....Not sure I'd do it again...rather check out some other race venues.....but well worth the training, trip and memories.

  • Comments: This was definitley a well organized race. It was a huge TNT event. I felt a little out of place not being on TNT. But i managed. I would like to have seen more food at the end and maybe some chocolate milk. but other than that, all was great!

  • Comments: This was a first class event and very well organized. There were so many details that I can't even name them all. The expo was very cool. Never seen anything like it. The morning of the race before we started was amazing. It was the only time I cried the entire run. It was a celebration and honoring of women athletes. Very cool and inspiring. So glad I chose this one for my first marathon experience. It was perfect for beginners. The course support was perfect. They gave out fresh nike dry fit socks two different times and had a ton of water and food stations. A lot of bands and live DJ's, port a potties that were SO clean (gotta love an all women race) and a lot of people cheering the entire race. The finish was like nothing I've ever seen. As you cross the finish line there is a huge red carpet laid down and you are greeted by a cute tuxedo wearing San Fran fireman handing you a Tiffany's box from a silver platter. Very cool! Would I do it again? Absolutely! I need to work

  • Comments: I highly recommend this race. Other than the start the race was well organized, lots of schwag (kind of women-focused obviously, but still good), volunteers were great and there were lots of aid stations, and you really can't beat a tiffany's necklace.

  • Comments: Very well organized race. Lots of aid stations and entertainment and tons of crowd support. On the downside for me was that I was not affiliated with Team in Training and definitely felt in the minority. The TnT folks had a ton of coaching and support along the entire course and I felt a bit like chopped liver at some points. The racers themselves were very nice, though and I chatted with several of them. I would do this race again just for the course, which I thought was a really fun way to see the city. (I'd never been there before) Next time, though, I'd probably plan on training more intensely than I do for the typical Nebraska marathon. :)

  • Comments: I'm the poster child for "if you thought you couldn't do it, you might be wrong!" If you (women?) are interested in a great race and a bit of travel, come on down for the SF Nike Marathon! Something else!
