Swim
Comments: Decided to swim in my cycling jersey. Overall, pretty calm and I felt I was relatively straight. I tried to keep to the outside, and was pretty wide down the long stretch. Transition 1
Comments: Felt pretty fast w/o a wetsuit to get out of! Grabbed a couple packets of Gu, but never ate them. I believe this was my fastest T1. Bike
Comments: Wow, perfect weather (almost - it did rain a little bit) for a quick ride. Saw one guy go down taking the first turn too tight. I feel like a really didn't push too hard and kept up a good cadence the entire ride. Turned out that the guy that went down beat my bike time by three seconds. What would you do differently?: Would select "Great" for Overall Bike report, but "Good" is the highest option. Transition 2
Comments: I didn't bring my camp stool to the race, but I felt pretty efficient in donning by socks and shoes - no "almost" cramps that I sometimes get. This is probably my fastest T2 as well! Run
Comments: My legs felt incredibly light and quick - I had to consciously try to slow my pace down in order to attempt a negative split run (didn't happen though). I was really trying to save my legs for tomorrow's Olympic, so I let someone in my age group go by and he ended up beating me out for third! Oh well! :) Post race
Warm down: Not much - watched several of my friends finish the race and chatted a bunch. Event comments: Fun Sprint!! Last updated: 2010-07-06 12:00 AM

Got up before 4:00 and putzed around the house - drank an Ensure, took an Endurolyte tablet, and some Advil. Got dressed in my race clothes and out the door by 5:00.
A little jogging and a little swimming - first OWS w/o wetsuit, was a little nervous and a little relieved. I enjoy the buoyancy, but I haven't trained in my wetsuit this year - previous years, my first wetsuit swim gets me a little seasick. Ate a little Clif Bar and a Gu.
