Comments: everything great through mile 17 or so then really slowed down. Was at 10:20 or so through there. Had to walk a bunch in miles 19-23. finished strong and ran last mile. What would you do differently?: work on my IT Band stretching more. Post race
Warm down: walked , drank liquids, ate some free irish stew and had a few beers. Then back to the room where I ate two sandwhiches and half a pizza and a few more beers. Sleep What limited your ability to perform faster: knees were a problem. Had really bad pain in both knees from mile 16 on due to IT band issues. Event comments: Weather was great race day, but day beofre and day after were bad. Day after race the wind was 20 mph steady. It could have been a real factor in the race had it occurred on raceday as we would've had to run 10 miles straight into that wind. Last updated: 2010-07-28 12:00 AM

none, this was my first real race.
Carb loaded for 3 days. Up early ate a nice big pancake breakfast and coffee and water. stretched.did a short warm up run and enjoyed the pre race festivities. Almost forgot my timing chip.
