Swim
Comments: Swim was not wetsuit legal I wore mine anyway, so, I wasn't eligible for any AG placings AG placings my estimates based on others times. Bike and Run are legit...swim would have been slower. Hard to site "chute" to transition area due to sun and lack of large buoys for spotting What would you do differently?: Next time I might try it w/o the wet suit Not quite confident enough yet Transition 1
Comments: They allowed you to mount the bike in the transition area as there was a small hill leading out of the transition area Thought it would be a problem w/ congestion but it wasn't too bad What would you do differently?: To be competitive, I would have to not wear my wetsuit. Bike
Comments: Great course for fast times My fastest average in a race yet. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Good course I was a little slow w/ calves threatening to cramp at beginning of run Overall, ok, could have maybe pushed a little harder a little sooner Felt warm on the run as temps were beginning to climb and high humidity still in the area. Post race
Warm down: They had a hose w/ a sprayer attachment just after finish line which was nice. Took a dip in the lake to get core temp down. Finished drinking water bottles to replenish Event comments: Nice well organized race w/ lots of volunteers and people from the town out to support the athletes. Swim is the only downside to the race, and, that wasn't too bad. Last updated: 2010-08-05 12:00 AM
