I had a major freakout moment in the first 200m. There was some major thrashing around and I thought if I fought it for a while it would smooth out. At one point I stopped and swam to the outside to get out of the chaos.
What would you do differently?:

start to the outside a bit more. I'm not a fast enough swimmer to start in the middle yet.

transition times could be better. I need to get a tri top so i don't have to fiddle with putting my bike jersey on in T1

I love the bike portion of any tri. This is where I make up time lost from the swim. Its fun to play catch up and fly past people.
What would you do differently?:

I probably could have went harder. I was trying to save my legs for the run, but I should have stayed on the gas a bit longer.

Course: Out and back. First mile was all uphill (which ment the last mile was all down hill). The run course went right though my neighborhood, it was pretty neat to run on fimilair ground.
