Swim
Comments: Caught a breath of water in first 200m, had to tread water to find air. Still hard to navigate even with prescription goggles. Visibility in water was super low, seaweed. Deep water up to swim exit. Water was warm, but still wet-suit legal. What would you do differently?: learn how to swim Transition 1
Comments: Transitions were longer than last year as they added an extra turn into transition area for swim in and run out. Rack style transitions. Got best spot at end of row. Bike
Comments: two loop course. Exiting into T2 was a little tricky for the second year in a row because T area is on right side with slower bikers hanging on right side/blocking transition. Had to pass on right to avoid cutting off cyclist. Transition 2
Comments: I made the mistake of throwing my wetsuit on rack above my run shoes so they got soaked. Ran sockless. Run
Comments: The water stations were a little weak, only one had Gatorade (who still serves Gatorade?). Volunteers were typically unprepared for faster runners and did not shout out what they were holding. Can't complain too much about people willing to work water stations but some coaching by the race organizers would really help things. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: swim Event comments: This is my second year racing and I will do it again. Last updated: 2010-08-09 12:00 AM
