Swim
Comments: Unsure of overall rank or official time as my timing band didn't work on this leg? Ran into a few yacht moring markers on way out but all-in-all I felt good in the water and didn't have to stop at all!! What would you do differently?: Next race (Sprint distance) I will hopefully be able to push harder in the swim and make up some time on the guys who fly by on the bike. Transition 1
Comments: Tough start of bike leg heading straight up hill after a 200m from start. What would you do differently?: Maybe really focus on getting the suit off my ankles cleanly Bike
Comments: I just can't keep up with ANYONE... I would like to use my bike as an excuse, but realistically I am still too big for the bike and don't have the legs. What would you do differently?: Not sure how to go better? Maybe Aerobars would help, but can't afford them yet. Transition 2
Comments: Had a few issues getting my socks on... I think this was mainly due to the sandy transition and feet that were a bit too wet / sweaty from the bike. What would you do differently?: Elastic laces would be something to consider? Run
Comments: First 5km SUCKED.... The hills in the park killed me and I really didn't feel like I had anything left. However, as I past half way at the Finish line, I started to feel ok and managed to push through to the end. What would you do differently?: I've said it before and I'll say it again... PUSH HARD out of T2 and keep the momentum to the end. Post race
Warm down: Little bit of stretching after I caught my breath! What limited your ability to perform faster: My size, fitness and lack of experience. Event comments: Unlucky for the organisers to have such crappy weather the day before when Registration and Bike racking was supposed to happen as well as the other events... Good to have an event at home though!!! Last updated: 2010-08-22 12:00 AM

Was hoping for a bit of a sleep in as this was to be held in Geelong, however the SUPER STRONG winds the day before meant that Registration and Bike racking had to be done early on Race day.
Quick swim to get wet and feel the water temperature.
