Comments:

I had a great run from Mile 1-20 averaging 8:35 per mile. Felt great and was enjoying myself. Mile 21 my quads hurt something aweful. I slowed down to a 9:00 pace then...but even started going slower as I started to cramp more.

I had to stop at mile 25 because by right calf and ankle just stopped working for about 5 minutes... I did manage to cross the finish line 5 minutes faster then last Marathon.

What would you do differently?:

Potassium...get more of it. I have tablets that I could of taken but I did not bring them with me. Maybe I will focus more on gatorade the water next time.
Post race
Warm down:

Irish stew in the tent after the race.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

CRAMPS!

Event comments:

I will definitly do this run again. With exception of the 2.5 mile stretch of running in the narrow lane....it was great.

Course: Course was very nice. The on elevate portion was the rudee inlet brige. I found that not to bad. (I also run that bridge every week)...The two issues I had with the course was on Atlantic where the Marathoners start passing the half marathoners coming in the opposite direction. The course was very narrow at that point and it was hard to Maneuver, actually one woman fell. The other portion of the course that was a little harder was Shore drive. It had a major slope in it. Just try to stay in the middle of the road is all.
