Comments: I had a great run from Mile 1-20 averaging 8:35 per mile. Felt great and was enjoying myself. Mile 21 my quads hurt something aweful. I slowed down to a 9:00 pace then...but even started going slower as I started to cramp more. I had to stop at mile 25 because by right calf and ankle just stopped working for about 5 minutes... I did manage to cross the finish line 5 minutes faster then last Marathon. What would you do differently?: Potassium...get more of it. I have tablets that I could of taken but I did not bring them with me. Maybe I will focus more on gatorade the water next time. Post race
Warm down: Irish stew in the tent after the race. What limited your ability to perform faster: CRAMPS! Event comments: I will definitly do this run again. With exception of the 2.5 mile stretch of running in the narrow lane....it was great. Last updated: 2006-02-10 12:00 AM

Ate my normal pre race breakfast of two banana's.
Did not really warm up to much.
