Comments: Swallowed a couple of gulps of saltwater trying to get into the waves, but felt fine once I rounded the first bouy. Waves took me a little wide on the way back in and had to run back to the entrance, but felt like I navigated well other than that. What would you do differently?: Practice running into the waves before the actual start. Transition 1
What would you do differently?: I really need to either practice getting my shoes on freestanding or make sure I rack my bike in a place with something to lean on or bring a stool. Bike
What would you do differently?: Wear my camelback and eat something. I don't know why I didn't take a couple bites out of my cliff bar during transition as I planned, but I do know that I didn't drink enough because I did not want to slow down to pick up a bottle. Transition 2
Comments: Again problems with the balancing thing on my cleats. What would you do differently?: Get speed laces which I knew I wanted before the race, but just never got around to getting them. Run
Comments: It's really not fair to call this a run since I did much more walking than running. What would you do differently?: Drink more and eat something either pre-race or prior to the bike. I was just totally spent by the run. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of adequate nutrition. Event comments: This was a really fun race even if there did seem to be a bit of disorganization.
