What would you do differently?:

Need to focus on better pre/post race stretching and warm up.

Warm down:

Water, some stretching and a good lunch.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

hips hurt, knot in hamstring at end of race, too hot, think I needed one more goo.

Event comments:

Although the trip north to Lincoln park is beautiful, the course was Horrible. Through broken sidewalks over grass hills, sloped banks along lake, dirt trails back to sidewalks.. over bridge on two person sidewalk (some stopped by bridge going up and police stopping runners for traffic). Course was open to bikers etc...

The last mile was about 0.4 miles longer..overall race was 13.5ish
