Comments: I wanted to try to run negative splits, starting at 8:00/mile pace for the first half and then trying 7:30 or 7:15 for the second half. i stay with a friend and her brother for the first 6 miles. I was tough running "slow" especially at the beginning of the race where I'm used to really running fast. I decided to break up my negative splits into 4 sections and so picked up the speed going down hill into the city and around the harbor. Slowed back up going back up the hills (miles 16-22) into Clifton park and Montebello but was able to really push the last few miles under 7/mile. What would you do differently?: Plan out my paces a little better based on the course. A course this hilly doesn't lend well to a negative split broken into halves. Post race

Woke up 6:40am drove to race and ate power bar but 7:30. Kept warm clothes on for as long as possible.
