Comments: the chop didn't bother me as much as I would have expected. Slowed me down though. first HIM so was afraid to push it too hard didn't know what to expect with the rest of day. What would you do differently?: pulled a little harder Transition 1
Comments: was one of the first bikes out of water and had a 100 yard with bike on bare feet concrete. not pleasant What would you do differently?: maybe ran in bike shoes; first HIM all new Bike
Comments: been training injured with for 5 mos with achilles so was really worried about run. should have pushed it much harder on bike. Lost big chain ring deraileur at mile 40. What would you do differently?: rode harder. don't think it would have affected my run much since i was running in pain and going slow Transition 2
Comments: none What would you do differently?: not as carried as much gel in flask and get a smalller gel flasks Run
Comments: swore to myself that I will rehab achilles before i run again. run was disappointing. finished What would you do differently?: nothing with injury and training. Post race
Warm down: ate banana and peanut butter crackers. drank a coke. set down and cramped up so got up and kept walking What limited your ability to perform faster: injury and lack of experience Event comments: volunteer were awesome. great aid stations on the run. plenty of fluid. run course was little more narrow than i like. first HIM completed and happy and glad to have been a part of it.
