Swim
Comments: Below average on the first 200m because I was thinking about my chip and not having it- it probablly would have had a much better swim if i wasnt dealing with that. Came in 3rd in my wave so there wasnt a whole lot of people to draft from. Towards the end I ended up running into the pervious 2 wave's slower people. I sighted really well, stayed narrow, and really rounded the bouys great. What would you do differently?: Keep my chip on! Transition 1
What would you do differently?: still have my chip with me. Bike
Comments: I really kicked some ass on the bike. I dont know my average speed but I did really well. It's fun being the one flying down the hills past everyone else! I was able to take my feet out of the shoes and 'hop' off of my bike. Ive taken my feet out before but never mastered the hop off. What would you do differently?: ...umh...have my chip. Transition 2
Comments: Had to split between two women who were walking their bikes back to T2. T2 went really well and I managed to get my socks on (new ones) and shoes quickly. I was worried about the socks since it was the first time to use them but I love them!! What would you do differently?: ...again with the chip thing! Run
Comments: Decent run, actually I felt really good and think my speed was good. Its the area I've been trying to work on the most and I tried to leave every bit on energy on the run. I paced off of a woman for a while and that helped me from settling in, as I often do. I'm happy with it. What would you do differently?: yeah, you know...the chip! Post race
Warm down: should have stretched more but i was so excited to go and see how the Team Danskin athletes had done. should have done the massage. What limited your ability to perform faster: ok, do i have to say it again...chip! Event comments: The best part was that this was my first race EVER last year and I kicked my old time's ass! I had a wonderful time and stayed to see the last woman cross the finish. that was the best part! Last updated: 2006-02-21 12:00 AM

Got there really, really freakin' early because there are 3000 women and their families so traffic is always wild. I didnt get enough sleep or rest on Friday or Saturday though. Being a team leader takes a whole lot out of me but its worth it 10 fold.
Waited for parents, helped TD members set up their transition and waited...and waited...
