Run
Comments: I pretty much stuck exactly to the plan that I had in my head before the race. The plan was to go out brisk but in control for the first 8-9 miles, and then start picking it up finishing with my last 3 miles in the 7:30's. I missed it with mile 11, but was in the mid 7:30's for miles 12&13. I had lots of energy left for the 2 mile kick. I once again found myself frustrated with the discrepancy between the measured distance on my garmin and the official race distance. According to my garmin, the course was 13.24 miles which puts my pace at 7:57/mile, but the official race distance of 13.1 puts my pace (as listed in the official results, so that's what counts) at 8:01/mile. I wouldn't care as much if it was the difference between 8:02 and 8:05, but I really thought I managed to get under 8 minute miles!! FRUSTRATING!!! All that being said, I am thrilled with the way this race went, and I set my 1/2 marathon PR by over 3 minutes! (Ok, so it was only my second one.) What would you do differently?: I wouldn't have listened to the volunteer handing out the t shirts who told me to take an XL instead of a Large! I'm swimming in this thing! Other than that, nuthin. Post race
Warm down: Just some walking around the parking lot. What limited your ability to perform faster: nothing. I do believe I'm feeling stronger every day. Event comments: Great day! BIg thanks to Hirsoshi and all of the BT crew for a good time!! Last updated: 2010-11-02 12:00 AM

You know. A couple of cups of coffee, a couple of trips to the bathroom, and so-on and so-forth.
jogged about a mile with Hiroshi including the last half mile of the course. I think this was key because I got to see how the course ends. Last week I was really hoodwinked by the "false finishes" at the Foxboro 10 miler, so this was much better.
