Really cool event. As i was warned...lol, I definitely got my butt kicked but am still glad to try it. I really got nautious from this water right from the start. It is nasty to see and to me, tastes like gas and diesel. (maybe just from being warm brackish or what ever...) Anyhow. really rough day "losing" any fuel in my stomach at mile 2.5 and 3.
Felt better though and would have loved to at least not have storm as i was in front of the cutoffs still.
What would you do differently?:

Not sure about this water. Maybe dramamine or something but probably stick with lakes...lol.

Event comments:

Lightinig storm came and ended race. I was coming to mile 4 mark and slipping toward cut off time for sure. Think I'd have finished with a bit over half mile to go and adrenaline starting to help a bunch...oh well.
Should have been done by then so it's my fault. Would like to see if anyone knows the time they cancelled cuz i didnt even look at my watch.
Happy with my effort getting to 4 but its not like "hands hit the sand" finish....
