Swim
Comments: Fellow competitor inadvertently ripped the watch off my wrist in the first 100 meters of the swim and that gave me a brief pause. Ultimately kept going and may not wear a watch for future races as it was somewhat liberating to go on feel and not have something to check up on for pace, time, etc. Maintained freestyle for the whole swim and took it fairly easy. What would you do differently?: Need to continue to work on swimming and feel comfortable upping the pace in a race. Transition 1
Comments: Much better for me than usual ... my transition was about where I placed and it is usually lower. What would you do differently?: N/A Bike
Comments: Kept up a fairly high cadence and didn't push too hard. Passed a bunch of people early and then settled in trading places with a few other people. What would you do differently?: Try pushing it hard in the future to see if run will stand up after hard ride. Transition 2
Comments: Uneventful. Run
Comments: Put it in cruise at the beginning and then slowly got into gear. Passed a handful of people and felt good the whole run. Post race
Warm down: Ate some burgers, had some gatorade, and talked over the race with some friends. Event comments: Like the venue and as always FS put on a good show. Last updated: 2010-12-29 12:00 AM

Woke up early and packed up the gear. Ate 2 pieces of dry toast and drank some coffee. Went outside to let the chickens out and felt a significant chill in the air ... great for the bike and run, but looking like a cool entrance and exit to the swim.
None.
