Comments: went out slow and esay- had no idea how I would feel afterwards and didn;t want to burn out on swim. What would you do differently?: Go harder next time. Transition 1
Bike
Comments: goal was to finish with enough left for the run. Did that well. got a headached, as usual, about mile 35. What would you do differently?: Need to train for longer rides- do several over 59 miles, not just a few. Also, practice rideing harder for longer. Goal is to go faster next time, not just to finish. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Goal was to finish! I did. Walked through aid stations. Ran relatively slowly. pace was good. What would you do differently?: May try to train to run stronger. But a 2:32 half is only slightly slower than an average half for me. Post race
Warm down: Ate the fruit and piece of pizza. Sat in the shade for awhile. Walked bike back to hotel. What limited your ability to perform faster: Goal was to finish, not go fast. Garmin died, so had I known I was so close to going under 7 hrs, I would have. Event comments: Took place at Disney- would like to have had better food at the end- it was not good.
