Swim
Comments: Not my best swim, however, I passed two people on the course. Since there was plenty of anxiety on the initial start my breathing was jacked up. I had to get ahold of myself and find my pace, once I did I felt okay. I did open lane turns for each lane transition, this slowed me down a bit. What would you do differently?: Do flip turns and practice going under the lane divider more fluently. Transition 1
Comments: Yeah, I sucked at T1. I should have swam in my tri-top, it was really hard to get on while wet. Then when I was putting my shoes on in T1 I fell down....who does that!?! Well, I do apparently. I wasted more time than I wanted to, but it's my first race so it was a good learning point. What would you do differently?: Don't fall. Bike
Comments: Bike leg was the most fun (funnerest), would have liked it to be longer. I got past twice on the course. Then I thought I was getting past again, but it was a motorcycle. Me being me, as the motorcycle passed I shouted "nice pace" the guy on the motorcycle started laughing, this was worse than falling in T1. What would you do differently?: Nothing, had a blast. Transition 2
Comments: Well I didnt fall in T2 so that was a good start. I should have taken my feet out of the shoes while on the bike earlier, this slowed me down. Run
Comments: My legs started to fell good and I hit my stride around mile 1. Didn't get passed on the run, was happy about that. What would you do differently?: Do more ride and run bricks to prepare for a faster run time Post race
Warm down: Pork BBQ sandwich, sports drink and hanging with my family. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not preparing for the transitions. Not training enough on the bike....and falling Event comments: I will be back next year for sure. I'm happy with my performance since this was my first triathlon. Last updated: 2011-01-01 12:00 AM

This was my 1st Tri so I walked around the transition area trying to figure out the best way to set up my area. Met some really great folks, I ended up racking my bike next to the overall female winner, she gave me some great pointers as far as gear to wear and set up.
Just stretching, there were plenty of people in the pool and on the road so I felt more comfortable finding my own area to loosen up at.
