![]() Run
Comments: It was good. I didn't really slow down much for Doomsday hill. I was very very close to the time goal I had initially set for myself. In any case, I kept a very steady pace throughout, and I had the energy to jog the last two blocks or so to the finish line. What would you do differently?: I wouldn't hang back at the end of my section for quite as long. I was slowed down some by slower pople who were stretched across the road. ![]() Post race
Warm down: I walked back to the Bike, and also iced my shins, which were hurting a bit but not excessively. Then I walked to lunch, after lunch I walked to REI, and then back to my friend Heidi's house. worked out to about 4 extra miles. What limited your ability to perform faster: NOT ENOUGH TRAINING!!! Event comments: I really didn't do any of the post-race stuff. THe nly problem with this one is that it is *so* crowded. Last updated: 2006-03-12 12:00 AM

Rode My Bike to the bus stop and caught the bus to downtown where I rode over to the bike corral that was provided over by the YMCA. I stopped in and wrapped my shins in to hope of preventing my shin splints from getting worse. Then I walked over to my starting line. Picked up a Mocha, and ate my zone bar.
Mostly just stretching for off an on for the hour or so I was standing and waiting for my group to move toward the starting line. Also in line fot the biffy.
