Run
Comments: Quads started to cramp a little about mile 15. Due to some leg issues, I was unable to do any long runs in training, and had not gone over 15 miles since late November. The cardio was ok, but didn't have the miles in the legs to run through the entire race. Due to the humidity (~100% for the first couple hours), I decided to use salt tablets. Considering that I lost nearly 7 lbs during the race, this was probably a good idea. What would you do differently?: More miles during training. Post race
Warm down: Stretched a little afterwards. Didn't eat because my stomach wasn't cooperating. Went home and took a loooooong shower. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not enough miles during training. Inability to run long distances during the last two months of training. Event comments: Like the ability to use the GRB pre and post race. Overall, an excellent race. Last updated: 2011-02-01 12:00 AM

Got up at 3:45 to get ready, eat a peanut butter sandwich. Went over to the GRB where I stretched, ate a banana, and did the usual pre-race visit to the bathroom.
No real warmup besides stretching. Figured that the first few miles, with congestion, would be slow enough to be a warm up.
