Pre-race routine:

woke up around 5:30 and drank a whole lot of water. Ate two slices of bread and peanut butter, changed and stretched in the hotel room. Went to downtown around 7am, around 7:30, ate a kashi bar and a gu.
Event warmup:

Did some light stretching in the main tent before the race. Wore gloves and lisa's sweatshirt to keep warm walking to the start. Though about wearing more layers, didnt.

Comments:

For my first time I was very pleased. I was ahead of the 4:30 pace group until about 3 miles out. I think I hit a wall around 22ish miles, had to walk multiple times around then. Managed to run about the last mile or so.
What would you do differently?:

Try to drink more possibly, maybe try to eat more beforehand or during.

Event comments:

I was very pleased with the race, there was water when I needed it, there were bathrooms very often and the volunteers were very friendly and helpful. the chute felt very long at the finish and they didn't give us much water at the end up other than that it was a great race.

Tried to keep HR below 160bpm for most of race. Succeded until around mile 20. I stopped my watch by accident for around 5 minutes and .5 miles around mile 16. 7 Mile: 01:13:53.00 Half: 02:14:04.00 18 Mile: 03:04:25.00 Clock Time: 04:37:40.00 Chip Time: 04:33:43.00
Course: Course was very good. I drank the water on the course as well as some of the water in my bottles. Ran with all 4 bottles. Ate 3 shot blocks every 50 mintes. Only ate 2 on last go b/c I didn't think I could stomach all three.
