Swim
Comments: Good swim for me. I havent been swimming well or often this winter so I did better than expected. Despite the cluster in the pool, I did an OK job of weaving around people. Transition 1
Comments: Run out fromt he pool to the parking lot. The official results have the transition times included with the bike split but I hit the splits on my watch. Bike
Comments: Good ride for me. I had a girl on my wheel the entire race which pushed me to go faster. This is a flat, fast course. Very happy with my time. Transition 2
Comments: Forgot to use speed laces but I'm pretty quick at tying shoes. Run
Comments: It got quite warm on the run but there were lots of water stops. There were out and backs on this course, so you could see the other competitors. Felt like I was running well. Didnthave the dead leg feeling like at the DU. Splits were pretty evenly just under 7's. Pushed the last mile. It was great to see my family out on the course! Post race
Warm down: Just hung out with the family and Elliot, got a bite to eat, a chair massage and waited for awards. I was 1st place female so I got a plaque and first choice of the gift cards- $50 to a bike store. Very relieved that elliot beat me at this race, he's been waiting for a chance to do that for a long time. Today was his day! :-) Event comments: This was a good race for me to do because I havent raced a Tri in almost 1.5 years. I was rusty and unsure how it would feel to put the swim-bike-run together. Looking forward to doign some bigger races this year! Last updated: 2011-03-13 12:00 AM

This race is quite close to home, but I had to get there in time to register. Arrived at race at 6am, set up transition, watched the kids race and the start of the sprint. My husband and kids came down to watch.
The OLY started last and I was one of the last swimmers to get in the pool so my race didnt start until after 8:30.
