Of course setting up and shaking out the jitters. Took a 1/2 mile jog and some stretching.

Much better than last year!! No one in front of me that I couldn't pass. Had to make 3 passes but they were not kicking in a frog kick manner so it was simple enough. Felt great getting out of the pool too. Last year I could hardly pull myself out of the pool. Very happy with my swim time!!
What would you do differently?:

Go faster.............who doesn't want that!

Much quicker than last year!! Wasn't as out-of-breath either. No music this year so this was a non-issue to get on and ready. Felt great and was ready to ride.
What would you do differently?:

Need to get quick laces for shoes. Not having to tie shoes would cut another 20-30 seconds too.

Need to get some bigger bike legs. I don't spend the time needed to increase my bike times. I have a new bike.......but it doesn't help if I don't put in the time needed. This will be something I put in place after the Indy 1/2 next weekend. I need to see 19mph+ and more like 20's to be cutting my tri times way down.
What would you do differently?:

More consistant bike training. Hammer the bike on tail winds too. Was a little conservative knowing I had a run comming up. I need to let it all hang out on these days!!

I don't clip in so I have advantage on T2. This was good as well. Took a few seconds to stretch quads and hams before running out of transition.

Paced team member for 1st 1.5 miles and decided to kick it up a bit after that. I thought I did better than 7:46 pace.???!! 1st mile was under 7:30 and 2nd mile was right at 15:00?! I really opened up at the end too. A little disappointed in the overall time of my run. I felt great at finish so maybe I had more in the tank and should have pushed harder. I don't know!?
What would you do differently?:

Run harder and faster of course!!

Lots of water and plenty of food!!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My own mind!! I need to stop thinking and just push myself. My doubt in my abilities sometimes hampers my abiltity to perform better. Mind over matter is what my new motto needs to be.........yes "Mind Over Matter"! Don't get me wrong though I am very pleased with this finish time and am more excited for the next event!

Good race again!! Wind wasn't bad and no rain either!! Will come back again!

I checked watch at the wall when getting out of the water and had 7:38. You all know that there is a small jog down to the mat at transition so that adds about 20 seconds to your time (depending on how fast you get there)
