What would you do differently?: Get faster, need to do more triathlons to get better at open water swimming. Need to stop being scared of sharks! Transition 1
Bike
Comments: The bike leg was AWFUL. EVERYONE passed me, including a little kid. I think the problem was due 50% to poor fitness level and 50% to my equipment - I have a very slow mountain bike!!! I got very depressed during the bike ride because I was just so slow. This has now been rectified and I have purchased a road bike! What would you do differently?: Get better bike, train more. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Completely exhausted by this stage. Ran 60% of the time, walked 40% of the time. What would you do differently?: Get fitter so I can run the whole thing! Post race
Warm down: Walked around Freo a lot. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not fit enough, very slow bike, first triathlon so just getting used to it! Event comments: I really enjoyed my first triathlon. Last updated: 2006-03-26 12:00 AM
