Swim
Comments: The swim was OK. I thought I would be a lot faster (hoping for around 16 minutes). But my navigation and sighting was awful. I was all over the place. What would you do differently?: I just need to work on sighting. I have learned that swimming in a large group like this is much different than when it is just Kev and I. Transition 1
Comments: Pretty fast in T1 and I think that my transitions is where I made up the most time, especially after my slower than projected swim. What would you do differently?: I need to put some vaseline in my socks. I got an awful blister on the bottom of my bike toe during the run. Bike
Comments: Great on the bike in this race. I am really proud of how I performed in this segment. I pushed pretty hard, but not so hard that I was spent at the end. It felt so good to get to the turn around and see so many poeple coming the other way. What would you do differently?: I want to get one of theose frame bags that go between the top tube and the stem. It was a bit difficult to take my GU pack out from under the tape that was holding it in place. I also think I would like to learn to put my shoes on as I am pedeling. Transition 2
Comments: Great in T2 Run
Comments: I was so happy with my run. I never thought I would be able to average under 10 minutes/mile at this point in a Triathlon. Again, it felt great to see people coming the other way after the turn around. What would you do differently?: Nothing Post race
Warm down: A lot of walking. Event comments: My second triathlon and I am very happy to see that I have come a long way in just over a year. Last updated: 2006-03-31 12:00 AM

I had to get up very early (3:30) to get out to Montauk. I had some cereal and a plain bagel with nothing on it on the way to the race. Got there at 5:30, set up my transitions and went down to the water.
A little swimming.
