Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 3:30 am for breakfast (2 muffins and a gatorade); back to sleep until 6 am. Got to the race at 6:30; set up, walked around a bit, then had a good swim warm-up.
Event warmup:

Did about a 1/2 mile swim, mostly easy, but with some chunks of 50 stroke tempos.

Comments:

I got stuck in a really chaotic cluster of swimmers at the start and it was 10-15 strokes beyond the first buoy before I got a clear lane to swim. After that it was fine.
What would you do differently?:

I need to be more aggressive at the start and push to the front of the pack so I don't get stuck behind swimmers and unable to pass.

Comments:

The stupid disposable timer chip thing broke while I was taking off my wetsuit, so I lost a good bit of time messing with that and then having it replaced before I could leave transition. Otherwise, I could have had a sub-2 minute T1, I think.

Really good run (for me!). My feet were numb for the first mile or so, which was a bit off-putting.
