  • Comments: Sadly the post-race stuff wasn't as good as years before. The shirts were typically cotton, not tech shirts. No pizza or anything warm after the finish, just some nature valley bars and bananas. They usually do a great job with the post race business but this year it felt lacking.

  • Comments: Fun race. I got a medal! Even though I was 2 minutes slower than last year (the swim killed me) I ended up with a medal this year whereas I was 6th last year. Just reminds me that I cannot control who else shows up to race!

  • Comments: 3rd year I've done this race and I love it every year. Good course, great athletes there, it's just a fun race.

  • Comments: I really enjoy the races that are put on by this organization. I love the location and the volunteers are great. I've now done 4 events there and they've all be fun. Thanks to GreenMtnLabbit for bringing this group to my attention!

  • Comments: Even with the rain cancelling the swim it was still a good race. This was my first repeat race and I see no reason to ever stop doing it. Great venue, great directors, just really like the race.

  • Comments: All the volunteers were fantastic. Packet pick up, registration, body marking, etc were all timely. Lots of portapotties and not a lot of queueing time for them. Fantastic transition area restricted to "athletes only"! Well organized, fantastic race. Only downer was one corner where there were lots of cyclists not in the race heading in a different direction, with a volunteer shouting, "pursuit racing, north". I was a bit confused because I didn't know this was a pursuit racing event. "Wallis Sands Tri" would have been better. I rode the next bit a bit slower, and the further I went without seeing anyone with a race number, the slower I got, thinking I'd have to turn around. Finally, someone came by with a number, mumbling to himself about how confused he was by the last volunteer at the corner. Otherwise, fantastic race.

  • Comments: I've done a half marathon at this location as well and the volunteers at both that and the tri have been fantastic. Wonderful people and a beautiful location.

  • Comments: I really like this race. Super pretty, although late September weather can usually be pretty sketchy. Nice along the ocean. Will do again next year (plus it's only 10 miles from the house)

  • Comments: Another great Wallis Sands race to close out the season. This is my third podium finish (three in a row), and my first podium on a sprint. Good way to close out the season.

  • Comments: Really pretty course. My wife described it as "all business". Nice for its second year, but not much going on. Could have used wetsuit strippers, maybe a transition area on grass, more volunteers out on bike course. Also, disposable timing chips were flimsy (but they've already promised to rectify for 12) I'd do it again for the ocean swim challenge and pretty course but nothing special yet. I think with time, this could get to be a big end of season race.
