Swim
Comments: Swim is tough for me. Fatigued very fast. Wavy water did not help. Just never felt comfortable and could not get any sort of stroke going. Wanted to finish in 35 min so just short. What would you do differently?: More practice. Transition 1
Comments: I actually took my time in this transition. Felt out of sorts after swim so just took my time and prepare for bike/run. What would you do differently?: Not change my shirt. I anticipated it being cooler than I was and changed jerseys. Caught up on my back a bit, but otherwise the transition was what I expected Bike
Comments: bike was fine. Had some left at end, but with corners and a 19 mile run the Thursday before my quads were a little sore. I wanted to average 21, so 20.8 is right there. Felt good off bike into run. What would you do differently?: Just go harder and bring 1 more water bottle. Transition 2
Comments: Had a small issue with GU flask not flowing, but otherwise good transition. What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: A little GI issue that never really bothered me too much, but was thinking about it. What would you do differently?: Nothing. I felt good. Post race
Warm down: Eat some food and get some fluids in body. What limited your ability to perform faster: Swim. 19 mile run prior Thursday. Event comments: Good way to start tri season. Nice organization and well attended. Last updated: 2011-05-05 12:00 AM

Left Green Bay at 4:15am with Bill. Arrive Ostoff at 5:30 for check in. Very smooth. Set up transition. 2 waffles for breakfast. Peanut butter sandwich on way down. Sipped water/gatorade mixture. Not as worried about nutrition with the shorter distance and cooler weather.
No warm up. Bike transition closed 1 hour before race and did not want to get wet before start given colder temps.
