This is my first TRI so I heard all the hype about freaking out during the swim....I kept it at a comfortable pace and I'm looking back thinking I should have pushed much harder! I did enjoy the swim and wasn't involved in too much carnage.

Had a tailwind on way out and was with some slower riders at the beginning. This hurt me because of my lack of experience I didnt push the pace hard enough on the first 5 miles....better yet should have pushed harder the entire time!

Obviously pushed harder!

Ran barefoot with knumb ties and I peek a big chunk of skin off my right big toe!
What would you do differently?:

not use my toe as a concrete scraper! Not knocked over another riders bike on the rack. But u did stop and rerack his bike....

Start the run faster!

Warm down:

Slapped carl on the back and high gives the Wooley G's TRI team!! And asked for some medical tent help with the toe wrapping....had blood on the outside of my toebox?!? Didn't end up as bad as I thought...

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Hesitation at pushing too the limits on the swim and the bike. Lack of experience.

Event comments:

Fun race for my first one! My friends and I all came home with either overall or Ager awards (didn't expect that at all.) thank you Lord for the ability to do this and for keeping everyone safe!
