Pre-race routine:

Ate some grapes and a bannana. I also had a gatorade prime with some gatorade performance.
Event warmup:

Swam in the lake for about 10 min. and did some light stretching.

I went out way to fast, because I was nervous. At the first turn I got nervious and had to breast stroke alittle to catch my breath. After the second turn I settled in and finished strong.
What would you do differently?:

Go out slower and pace myself better.

The bike start was hard because it started on an uphill climb. I thought that I started well.

Have a towel at the bike area.

Hydrate more for sure. Change gears better.

Try to get out of my shoes faster.

I was hoping to do better on the run, but I did not drink enough on the bike so after the 1st mile I was starting to cramp really bad in my hamstrings. I fought threw it and finished strong.
What would you do differently?:

Hydrate much better and stretch more.

They need to have more drink stations on the run. The weather was bad so we did not get to go to the post race party.
