Swim
  • 35m 13s
  • 1500 meters
  • 02m 21s / 100 meters
What would you do differently?:

more effort, focus on the straight line, ignore people hitting me
Transition 1
  • 02m 19s
Comments:

Was fairly organized but still had 20 seconds of hesitation once I got to my rack spot

rank 111
What would you do differently?:

Laid things out well but need a mental plan of do A then B then C
Bike
  • 1h 23m 41s
  • 40 kms
  • 28.68 km/hr
Comments:

Spent nearly the entire time aero, as a result light sunburn on the tops of my thumb/wrist area.

The right hip flexor and top of my right glute were very angry with me from mile 14 on. I think it hurt me on the run
What would you do differently?:

Need slightly more aero training time. Need to get that tumor out so I can strengthen and massage that lower back area
Transition 2
  • 01m 11s
Comments:

Couldn't get my legs moving, so it was more of slow jog than a run from the dismount
What would you do differently?:

I need to take a salt pill and I need to pick up the cadence and stretch the last mile
Run
  • 1h 04m 9s
  • 6.2 miles
  • 10m 21s  min/mile
Comments:

OMG it was Reston 09 all over again. Cramped in my right quad just above knee, attempted to change my stride then the hamstring seized.

Fortunately someone came by and gave me a salt pill, cost me about 10 minutes

Once I got moving I did something like 8:45s not to bad but ouch
What would you do differently?:

Need to get back to the bike/run bricks on Thursday
Going to add some endurolite pills to the regimen (pre-race, on bike, T2)
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

leg cramp ... attribute to salt loss

Event comments:

Too late in the day 11:45 start with an arrival at 8:30 it killed the entire day.
The wind on the bike made this a much harder race than we expected
