Swim
Comments: Quite a bit of bumping and rubbing. Other than that it was a great swim. Plenty of support boats to help keep you on course. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Transition 1
Comments: Great transition. What would you do differently?: Nothing Bike
Comments: Great ride. Was really surprised at how many flat tires that people got. My performance was exactly what I thought I could do. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Transition 2
Comments: Tried biking sock less and putting my socks on for the run in this transition. It went well. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Run
Comments: Man I would love to get off the bike and lay down 7 min miles. My legs just won't do that though. Plenty of water on the course. I really stink at drinking while running. I threw at lot of water on my body and face which felt great. I walked one of the water stations so I could drink properly. At the station farthest from the finish I grabbed a cup of ice and dumped it down the back of my shirt. WOW, that felt great. My legs did start to cramp up though because I didn't take in enough fluids before the race and during the bike. I need to work on that. What would you do differently?: I need to do some speed work to get my legs running faster. Post race
Warm down: Stood under the shower tent and that felt amazing! Washed all the sweat and funk off me and made me feel better. I downed a bunch of water melon to get some fluids in me. Drank some water and nibbled on the copious amounts of food. What limited your ability to perform faster: Cramping legs and lack of speed work in running. Event comments: Great race! Should be on your list! Very well organized and well run. The shower tent at the finish line is worth every penny! Last updated: 2011-07-09 12:00 AM

Woke up and had a whole wheat bagel with peanut butter. I also drank some Gatorade but I don't think I drank enough and that impacted my race later on.
No real warm up. Just set up my transition area and stew he'd my arms and calves a bit.
