Comments: The time also includes the 100 yard run down the beach. I was 3rd into the water but not sure where I ended up after the swim. I am sure I was not up very high. Decent swim except the people I was around could not swim straight and I had to stop 2 times to let them swim by and get back on course. All men started at the same time and all women started 7 minutes later. What would you do differently?: Swim more. Good swim for me. Transition 1
Comments: Off with the wetsuit and had a hard time getting the running shoes on with wet feet. Good transition What would you do differently?: Nothing Bike
Comments: THis was the last leg of the race so my plan was to just time trail it. I went as hard as I could but it was only good enough for 7th fastes. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Transition 2
Comments: This was getting me on the bike. Plenty fast. What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: Felt good to run right after the swim as I was wet and stayed nice and cool. Ran hard but no one was around to key off of. I finally caught some of the girls that were way behind on the run. What would you do differently?: nothing Post race
Warm down: Ran a mile with my buddy Thomas. What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing Event comments: Great race. Loved getting to do it a bit different. I ended up winning my agegroup by 2 minutes. Also won the swim, run, bike division so I won 2 of those aluminum water bottles. Great food, bennets BBQ. Felt good today. First off, this race you could choose the order in which you wanted to do. SO your group lined up at the transition exit where they were going first. I did swim run bike.Woke up at 5 ate a poptart, coffee, mix1 shake, half a banana and a cliff bar. Got to the race site at 5:45 and was not the first one there. Still able to find a close transition spot near the bike out.
Did a one mile run with some strides. Swam about 200 yards just to get the heart rate up.
