Pre-race routine:

Got there about 6:30 walked up and got setup. Ran a bit down the trail and back. Ate a stinger gel on the way to the swim start.

This was the best swim in the 750 I've ever had! So much fun. Really nice water -- clear and warm.
What would you do differently?:

Keep working on speed to swim faster!

I had to put my knee brace on which held me back! We also had to run quite a distance up a hill to the TA!

It rained the entire time which. I have limited practice riding in the rain. There was a point where my sunglasses were covered, so I took them off. Then, my contacts were full of water and it was like looking through a drinking straw. That slowed me down quite a bit.
What would you do differently?:

Speed intervals in practice.

I didn't realize the trail would slow me down so much. I was cautious about it because I was afraid I would slip. I enjoyed splashing in puddles and getting mud on my like I was a kid again. This was the worst 5K I've ever run!
What would you do differently?:

Train more on trails.

Rain lack of experience running on trails.
