Pre-race routine:

Got up around 3:55am and did my routine morning bowel movement (deuces!) and had a cliff bar and was on my way. Got there around 5:15 and picked up a decent transition area and began prepping my things. I was excited for this since it would be about 9 months since I did this race as my first sprint triathlon ever with a disappointing time of 1:44. Same distances however this race would be done in reverse order!
Event warmup:

did some light stretching and walked around while i made a few bathroom stops due to some pre race nerves and anxiety...prior to the race, the RD announced that they were having problems with the timing on one of the mats so it wouldnt record the splits for each sport :(

i believe i finished this in about 30-31 minutes which is what i expected...since this was the first sport from the reverse order, i did not want to expend too much energy on the run, but i felt good throughout

Event comments:

Overall I'm extremely pleased with my performance given that it was 20 minutes faster than when I did this race for my first sprint. In each of the races that i've done i've improved in something which I'm proud of....I may still be in the BOP, but i'm happy with my progress that i've made in my first year of triathlons with no background history or experience in neither swimming, biking, or running. :)
