Comments: water was warm, in comparison to the air. Felt great to start. It was easier than I expected, probably since I'd been training for a further distance. Held a lot back, and felt strong. What would you do differently?: Probably would have pushed it a bit harder. Transition 1

Comments: Love this bike course. Hammered it as hard as I could. Need more long rides and better conditioning, but this was fun. What would you do differently?: Train more. Transition 2
Comments: Had to pee so badly I did everything twice as fast as I ordinarily do. What would you do differently?: practice transitions Run
Comments: needed more training, and I needed to push it a lot harder. I finished with way too much energy. Sprinted at the end, and felt strong enough to keep going. Next time I'll leave it all out there on the course. What would you do differently?: Condition well enough to not cramp, and go balls out. Post race
Warm down: walked around for an hour, looking for my buddy, who was still running. Massage, food, more walking, more food. What limited your ability to perform faster: Cramps, and inadequate conditioning. Need to run more, and practice running faster! Event comments: Loved this race. My first HIM. Great time! grain cereal breakfast and banana, racked early and froze my butt off standing around in my wetsuit in 45 degree weather, getting more and more nervous.
Couldn't find a way to warm up.
