  • Comments: I picked a great race for my first HIM. Thank you to the Ulman Cancer fund and Rev3 for putting on such a great race. This event was extremely well organized, had amazing volunteers as well as tons of inspiration from UCF and Team Fight. This was definitely a challenging course but I am glad I accepted the challenge and very proud to say that I am HALF FULL!

  • Comments: This was the experience of a lifetime for me - surrounded by some of the folks closest to me, and at a time of the biggest emotional roller coaster of my life. I know that sounds melodramatic, but that's really how it was. It was also the day of the 30th anniversary of a camp for kids with cancer at which I'd been a volunteer for 16 years before moving up here. So, what a confluence of events to converge on this day - my 50th bday, camp's anniversary, my dad's yahrtzeit the day before, and of course, my thoughts of Mom always on my mind. I also pushed myself farther than I should've been able to go. The lousy weather only added to the drama of the day, and gave us even more to talk about. Finished about 10 minutes after Anne, and was only sorry that I hadn't been able to see more of her over the course of the weekend....that and that Robin wasn't able to join us, but I know she was with us in spirit! I was overwhelmed by the amount of support I received from so many, and in so many ways,

  • Comments: Great event! Weather condtions made it very demading on SUnday but the day before it was 70 and sunny, so bad luck there but nothing within the control of the RD. Having Lance Armstrong there was really cool, but rest of the cancer survivors high fiving you going into the water and at the finish really drove home what this event was all about. Great job by the volunteers, Police, and Army hang out with us in the rain making sure we were safe!

  • Comments: I heard Rev3 put on good events, but this seemed kind of lacking. Maybe because officially it wasnt there event or the rain and cold.

  • Comments: This is a great race. first of all, it is a great triathlon. tough, but fair. Extremely well run. but that is only a small part. This race is all about supporting the Ulman Cancer Program and young adults with cancer. There are too many reasons why this is special to me to list. There were many many survivors racing in the race. THere were over 100 first time triathlets giving it their best. It was such a positive experience for such and important cause. Kudos to Team Fight, Ulman, all the volunteers, the survivors, the participants, and the crowds. Great day!!!

  • Comments: Great event. Well organized, tons of volunteers handing out drinks. Time trial start was cool. Key benefit of Aqua Velo was ability to get a post-race massage without waiting. Oh, and Chipotle as sponsor = best post-race meal ever. Those burritos were just awesome after a long day.
