Swim
Comments: First 200 m of swim went awesome. Was really in a groove and moving well. Got screwed up when I ran into the first slower swimmer in the pool. Spent a full lap trying to get around him and really thru off my rhythm. Ended up very winded in the middle of the swim because I kept getting anxious and forgetting to breath. Not a big fan of the serpentine swim although it does get everyone in the pool and thru the swim fast. What would you do differently?: Maybe put down a much faster swim time next year to get seeded higher so I don't run into slower swimmers so early on. Transition 1
Comments: Could not get my right bike shoe locked into my pedal for the life of me. What would you do differently?: Practice more getting into shoes while on bike. Bike
Comments: Pretty good bike ride today. Felt comfortable during the entire bike. Wind was straight out of the east at about 10 mph. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Transition 2
Comments: Man not sure what happened in T2. Felt like I had a really fast T2 but my time definetly doesn't reflect it. What would you do differently?: Be faster. Run
Comments: Felt good the first 2 miles of the run but on the last mile got extremly hot. Was one water stop at half way point of run but only had water and no gatorade or heed. What would you do differently?: Probably carry gatorade on my bike to drink so I don't need calories and electrolytes on the run. Post race
Warm down: Drank some water and hung out with my wife and kids and watched others finish. What limited your ability to perform faster: Should have had some electrolytes with me on the bike. Event comments: Have to rate this event high because it is in my hometown and there is nothing like racing in your hometown. Had an ok race today but defintly felt like I could have done even better. Did set a new PR for myself today at sprint distance but still feel like I am faster than this. Last updated: 2011-11-05 12:00 AM

Woke up early and had breakfast. Cup of coffee and cup of oatmeal and lots of water. This tri was actually in my hometown about 5 mins from my house so travel time was minimal.
No warm up.
