Swim
Comments: The swim went as expected, no real issues. I am starting to really love the swim portion of a race. Only issue was when it got into the channel, there was a lot of contact that was not needed. What would you do differently?: nothing Transition 1
Comments: T1 went fine, I put on socks here instead of waiting for the run. What would you do differently?: learn to have shoes already on the bike Bike
Comments: The bike was good, since my AG started almost last in the water, I got the chance to pass alot of people instead of being passed! We had a headwind for the first 12-13 miles, then tailwind which made a huge difference What would you do differently?: more biking Transition 2
Comments: I am a tenderfoot, hate running in grass without shoes Run
Comments: it was hott. I had some goals here since this is typically where my run falls apart. I wanted to run the entire thing and hit under 1 hour. I ended up having to stop at all water stations due to the 90+ degree weather, and no shade on this course. was very tough What would you do differently?: practice running on the sun??? Post race
Warm down: shade! Drank water ate some fruit and headed upstairs to lay down and shower What limited your ability to perform faster: the heat no dount Event comments: I love this venue and race. I set a new PR on this course and hit just about all my goals, I was able to race my race, and it paid off! I will have a mroe detailed race report on my blog soon! Last updated: 2011-12-15 12:00 AM
