Comments: T2 included in bike time. Felt slow here. The bike racks were not assigned by number so you just had to kind of find any rack to dump your bike (or patch of grass, which is what I did). Run
Comments: wasn't my worst/wasn't my best. still need to work on pace! my shin did not bother me during the race, so that was good. felt pretty hot, but just tried to keep my HR comfortable which i was able to do. pretty much shuffled up that last b*tch of a hill then sprinted to the finish line. What would you do differently?: run faster. Post race
Warm down: stood under fire hose to cool off. rinsed my feet off b/c there were still clumps of sand in my socks from the beach where we swam. drank water, met up with family and waited for my sister to cross the finish line! What limited your ability to perform faster: lack of run training lately due to shin injury. :( Event comments: Overall, this was a fun race! Beautiful weather, nice race atmosphere. Very newbie friendly. A bit different than the other tris I've done with the 2 transition areas and no assigned bike racks, but would do this again just for the fun of it!
