  • Comments: I always like doing this race. For a small local race it tends to bring out some really good local competition. It is also a good course for beginners. As always the volunteers were great.

  • Comments: It seems to be pretty competitive for a local race and I feel the Y does a good job managing it. Overall I do not have any major complaints and look forward to doing it again next year.

  • Comments: Running out of water at the last 2 water stations (the nice volunteers stayed to cheer us on though) during a heat wave, when the OLDER folks are in the last couple of waves just isn't acceptable. I wish they could find a better body of water to swim in, which would change the bike course, hopefully to a less populated road, although GREAT job with police and volunteers on every intersection and corner - and figure out how NOT to end the run on that hill.

  • Comments: Overall, this was a fun race! Beautiful weather, nice race atmosphere. Very newbie friendly. A bit different than the other tris I've done with the 2 transition areas and no assigned bike racks, but would do this again just for the fun of it!

  • Comments: A very good race, especially for those of us new to triathlon. A few critiques: 1) The two separate transition areas was confusing and resulted in some logistical issues. 2) Renns. Lake would not be my first choice for swimming venues although, frankly, it wasn't as bad as several folks lead me to believe. Fun bike leg though and excellent life guard coverage on the swim.

  • Comments: It is a really great race with many volunteers with many first timers and kids participating in this race. Nice race to do with friends and family.

  • Comments: Good volunteers, great police help, but very disorganized the day before and not much help in telling you the course description (website link always down). Overall it was a perfect way to race my first tri and I am very happy with finishing with Marna there.

  • Comments: Great volunteers, great police presence. Someone was down on the bike, I think it was his heart, as it didn't look like a bike crash, and they had a heart monitor hooked up and about 5 EMS people and firemen too. Police all along the route. Great race and thank you to all the volunteers!!!

  • Comments: didnt like the seaweed but they probably can do anything about that didnt like the big hill at the finish did like the firetruck, hot dogs, sorbet, gatorade,bananas my overall inpression was I had fun
