Swim
Comments: Perfect temperature. Nice to swim in water without salt or chlorine. Water was very dark but clear (could see your hand but nothing else) Time seems too fast, must have been short Transition 1
Comments: Took too long to get the wetsuit off. Was raining pretty hard. Bike
Comments: Raining hard at start and another squall after the turn around. Saw lots of flat tires (10 or so). I stopped to help someone with a flat, he never changed a tire before and didn't have a tube and ran through his CO2. Got it changed but the valve stem was a little too short to get the air in. Stopped at the aid station to have them send help. Was concerned because when I stopped I thought I had 2 tubes, but had just one. Now I had none. The guy came back out on the course after he got picked up and returned my tube! Didn't realize until racking my bike that I finished with a front flat, must have been a slow leak. What would you do differently?: Train more. Transition 2
Comments: Surpised it was this quick. Got one last gulp of water. Run
Comments: Had to walk alot. Stomach hurt alot and running made it worse. The wind halped cool a little but the sun was out and I got a nice sunburn. Was determined to finished. Got ice at the aid stations on lap 2. What would you do differently?: Not sure what caused the stomach problems. Post race
Warm down: Get stuff and get back to the car. Event comments: Nice race, well organized. Good volunteers. Last updated: 2012-01-08 12:00 AM
