  • Comments: Nice local HIM race. Need to get the distances on the swim and bike right. Would also be nice if they had coke on the run course.

  • Comments: This is a good race for the begining of the season or someone's first half ironman. It is a very barebones race. You pay for what you get.

  • Comments: Was 11 weeks pregnant and not supposed to actually race it. I came in 5th female overall!

  • Comments: This event met my expectations. I was told that it was an event by triathletes for triathletes with no frills but also no "you don't belong here" attitude. I also knew that it was a small event. It's not IM 70.3 Florida but that's not what I expected. What I got was a small event with a very cool medal and a nice tech T! Everyone was pleasant and I had a very good time. I would do this event again.

  • Comments: OK race. No bells and whistles. Swim course was good. Bike course is pretty good other than a few rough spots in the road. Run course was not properly set up. There was the Olympic distance tri going on at the same time and the run was basically the same as the 70.3 race, except we did 2 loops. Well, a 10K is 6.2 miles so if you double that it's only 12.4 miles. Well, they had us do a U turn on one of the roads and had the Olympic tri'ers go down and do their Uturn about a 1/4 mile further down. I think they had it backwards as I am hearing the Olympic run was too long and our run was too short.

  • Comments: I had a great race, and so did a majority of the training team we brought. Overall, the race was a good, local race. I think it could have used the following: 1. Better signs on important turns on Bike and Run. 2. Additional port a johns-2 on bike and 1 on run. Not sure what post-race would have been like, as we got rained out. I am highly likely to go back next year.

  • Comments: This race was to evaluate where I am. I trained very little. Almost no bike. I am sure I will feel it tomorrow. Alot people no showed the race and others quit because of the down pour. For all of you who stuck with it. You can look at yourself better tomorrow.

  • Comments: It was as super fun race, very well organized. The race Director is absolutely awesome guy! This was an awesome first HIM experience... the race was small and at the end all faces were simply familiar, it was great!

  • Comments: This was an inaugural race. Great for first timers since there were only 80 participants. It was a bit disorganized at the beginning but then things shaped up on time.
