Run
Comments: Much better race this year than last. Didn't really feel like I was going long until about mile 20. My goal was to run the whole race, with no walking, which I accomplished. Ended up 20 minutes faster than last year's race. Overall, a much better experience than the first one. What would you do differently?: Now that I know I can run the entire distance, I need to work on running it faster. I never really felt like I was taxing myself as far as speed. Post race
Warm down: Got weighed (only lost 6 lbs.) and eating breakfast. Changed, and spent the rest of the morning watching other runners finish. Great weather, big crowds, and great support. What limited your ability to perform faster: My confidence in pushing myself. I've got to get to the point where I am confident that I can push the envelope, and still finish. Event comments: Great race, amazing crowds. Couldn't really ask for more. Only a couple of nitpicks: more porta johns (like any race ever has enough), and get a finishers shirt that isn't white (how about some variety?). Last updated: 2012-01-16 12:00 AM

One banana, and a granola bar about an hour before race start.
Basic stretching. Didn't really run beforehand, as the first couple of miles are congested enough to act as a decent warmup.
