It POURED! Thunder and lightening with standing water on the road. It was so bad that my wife and friends went back to the hotel during the bike. In spite of this, I kept to my race plan, and maintained a steady effort, but was careful on corners and avoided pavement markings.

One upside of being soaked by the rain was that when I had to pee, there wasn't any reason not too, so I was able to take care of business going down a hill around 40 or 45 miles.

By the time I started the run, the rains had stopped, and the sun was coming out. Now it warmed up and got humid.

I need to keep working on my run.

Event comments:

Musselman is one of the best races anywhere. It should be on everyone's "must do" list.
