  • Comments: First time doing this race (only had done the sprint), and first double ever. Absolutely loved it, they do such a good job here, and the venue is really awesome. Will definitely be back.

  • Comments: The number of volunteers this race has is outstanding. Plenty on the bike and especially run course. My only complaint would be that I think they can come up with a better run course. There are 3 sections that I would like to see changed for that.

  • Comments: This is a great non-WTC HIM. I really got the sense the race director is sincere in caring about each athlete and their experiences. We had done this race in 2009 and I knew we'd be back. Pros: Good course (despite the few miles of bumpy road) Lots of aid stations Good swag (shampoo, magnets, stickers, samples, flip flops) Cons: Athlete dinner was crowded and a tad unorganized and they ran out of some foods They ran out of coke on the run course Heed on course (nasty) Color of the shirt is awful

  • Comments: Musselman is a great race. The venue is nice. The housing options are great. The course is fair and challenging. And the race director really cares about the participants and putting on a great race. The individualized labels on the bike racks put a smile on everyone's face. The volunteers at registration and on the course were extremely attentive and helpful. The medal and water bottles are my favorite to date. And the post race food was amazing and the best I have seen. Only things slightly negative I have to say, all are minor: T-shirt color is horrible but the design is cool. Pasta dinner was crowded and they ran out of certain foods. Water on course was tap water that tasted bad.

  • Comments: The Musselman is a GREAT race. Superb organization, great volunteers, generous swag (this year's swag included a nice pair of sandals!), very supportive town, cost-effective accomodations/athlete's village at Hobart and William Smith college - overall, I can't say enough good things about the Musselman. Jeff Henderson, the RD, does a fantastic job. I highly recommend this race! If you want a non-WTC branded HIM, you definitely should consider the Musselman. Special thanks to all the sponsors too. Hope to be back next year for my 4th Musselman. On a more somber note, my heart reaches out to the family of Michael Coyle. I never met him, but what a horrible story. He was so young and according to the news reports, had a young family. This really put things in perspective. PLEASE BE SAFE OUT THERE - we all want to go home to our families at the end of the day and it's kinda scary that such an accident can happen and his two kids will never see him again.   • Comments: Jeff Henderson the RD puts on one of the best races I participate in. This was my 4th HIM and 2nd spring and the organization is outstanding. The two accidents are tragic and my thoughts and prayers are with the families of both riders and also hoping the rider on Sunday fully recovers.

  • Comments: the people that put this on did an awesome job. I love Wegmans grocery store. They sponsored the food and man was it good! The aid stations were great and they had kids on the streets spraying people down if they wanted it. I walked through all the aid stations and walked most of the hills. I started taking in coke about mile 6 or 7 and went to bananas. I'm going to stick with that from here on out. I really think the coke works!

  • Comments: I really enjoyed the race and the weekend and I look forward to going back. I liked that it didn't feel like I just went there to race...more so it was going there for the experience - the place we were assigned to stay was unbeatable, cheering friends in the micromussel was a blast, the athlete dinner helped defray some costs, and the half itself was very well-organized. Just a great time and I would highly recommend this race to others.

  • Comments: Even though I was slow and the weather was challenging, I enjoyed the weekend. I had fun helping out at the run aid station on Saturday. The race is well run and I enjoyed the course. However, I think maybe next year, I'll stick to the sprint and volunteer at the full.

  • Comments: GREAT RACE! I can't say enough about the organization of the race and all the volunteers. Everyone was so great. Would have been able to enjoy the bike course more if it wasn't pouring rain and I could actually see but really, I had a great time. I can't wait to come back next year!
