Swim
Comments: Overall pretty good for me. I wanted under 2 min 100s but you cant get everything you want. What would you do differently?: I started out a little fast, but overall was good. Transition 1
Comments: Weird set up for ins and outs. What would you do differently?: not wash my feet as much as i did. Bike
Comments: Luckily I drove the course the night before because the hills were killer. What would you do differently?: give more at the end. I began to pedal out too early. Transition 2
Comments: Went the wrong way because the ins and outs were all over the place. What would you do differently?: Run towards the run out instead of the bike out. Run
Comments: I did not have a watch so i was about three minutes slower than normal. I have to thank the people who set up the mist. That was possibly the best thing I've seen in a race for a long time. What would you do differently?: I would run faster if i knew a pace. Normally i can keep good pace but with the hills i was thrown off. Post race
Warm down: Massage and some light stretching with lots of water. Watched all the other Race for Patch athletes come through the finish. What limited your ability to perform faster: The run was my only limited performance. I needed my watch, of course, the one day i feel it is unnecessary. Event comments: Excellent race. Great coordinators. Allowed our team to have our own wave and area in transition that allowed us to race for my good friend Patrick Sievert. Last updated: 2012-02-22 12:00 AM

Listened to music to keep myself calm. I got there very early, around 4:50. Set up my transition which happened to be in an awesome spot. I went to get marked and just chilled until the start. As i was watching the chaos of everyone trying to set up their transition i ate some jelly bean things. This was my first race eating them and i really needed to take them with more water.
Nothing to much. Got in the water and got used to the unusually warm temperature. I also did some light stretching just to get myself ready.
